Illustration is my greatest love and my greatest nemesis. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. But I have never crossed the threshold of greatness. I have always avoided my destiny by taking the responsible path instead of the path of dreams. I have guarded the keep, held my career first, my family first, paying the bills first, ignoring my dreams and my calling. No more! I thumb my nose at the great beast that is my dream.The time is now to un sheath my pens and pencils. Pull them from the piles of half finished sketches and years of concepts. The dust will fly from my tablet, my pencils will be sharpened, my pallets refreshed with new colors and textures, my light box will shine once more. I arm my self with the tools of the past and the technology of the future. Destiny will be conquered! My work with crawl out of darkness of concept and into the light of a professional caliber of work. Then. Yes then. The campaign of merchandising will begin. Comics, coffee cups, t-shirts, trinkets and swags will all be summoned to my side. The armies of finished creations will travel to the ends of the earth and delight those that wish to collect the treasure of my work...
But until that day... I will be right back.. I need to change a diaper, get my oldest to day care, walk the dog, get to work, and cut the grass.
